Job Services Australia (JSA) is funded by the Australian Government to provide tailored employment assistance to all job seekers, including young job seekers.
Job seekers aged under 21 can be eligible for the full range of JSA services regardless of whether they are receiving Centrelink payments.
Recognising that young people have specific needs, there are youth specific JSAs that are more skilled and resourced to work with your students.
Youth Projects: Youth Projects Employment Services has the local knowledge and networks to connect young people to employers and community organisations to build work experience and enhance employment, traineeship and apprenticeship opportunities.
Melbourne City Mission: Support from the Employment and Youth Services team is available if the young person is aged 15 – 25, unemployed or about to lose their job, leaving school and/or eligible to register with Centrelink.
