Girls Make it Go

Traditionally, women have not been encouraged to pursue careers in manufacturing, engineering and technology.

Aim
The aim of this project is to educate young women, their parents and their teachers and Career Advisors about the excellent career options in various occupations relating to manufacturing, engineering and technology. In addition, this project aims to empower young women to make their own career choices, regardless of what they might be.

The objectives are:

  • To facilitate an understanding by young women of the diversity of career options available to them
  • To encourage young women to explore career options that will lead to secure and full time employment.
  • To provide information to parents about the opportunities for young women in Manufacturing, Engineering and Technology
  • To offer a series of Industry tours to young women to further explore these options

Includes talks by young women from industry, student activities at Ntec and industry tours for students
